“Being a part of the I Am Yoga 300-Hour Teacher Training has been a magical experience. Kiesha and Candace create a supportive container that is gentle yet brave, both curious and confident, full of joy and laughter, and deeply insightful.
During our year-long process of self-discovery through yoga we have learned to honor our own inner wisdom as well as listen deeply to one another. I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity for personal development, collective healing, and spiritual connection this training has given me."
- POLLY WEISS
At the beginning of the 300-hour training, I felt that I was out of my league because a few of the other students in the Kula were much more in-depth and in tune with the subject matter being presented. I was in awe of their knowledge base but still very eager to learn. My decision to pursue my 300-hour certification as based on my desire to take a deeper dive into yoga, to explore and learn more about the practice, more about its history, more about the 8 limbs and other aspects, and to to deepen my personal mental and spiritual practice to better equip me to share the practice with others. I really did not know what to expect. Most of the material was brand new to me, I had never heard of a lot of it, but I walked away with the knowledge and understanding of such things as the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, the Gunas, Kleshas, a bit more of Sanskrit, etc. My journaling also deepened and was enriched due to Alchemy 365 and other journaling prompts throughout the practice.
I was hesitant to enroll in the 300-hour training because I had just retired and did not really want to commit to anything, but this journey, this commitment was probably one of the best decisions I could have made because of all the richness and knowledge that I gained through the leaders, presenters and the Kula. I learned something from each and every person in the program. It was an honor and pleasure to be part of this IAMYOGA community, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to bond with the amazing women in the Kula, and to know that this bond is for life.
